We now offer a range of different types of appointment, ie, face-to-face appointments with GPs/practice nurses, telephone consultations with GPs/nurses, and telephone advice calls. On booking your appointment you may be asked to give a few details. Please do not be offended by this, it will help us to allocate you the correct appointment.
Routine and emergency appointments are available every day in the morning and afternoon. If you need an urgent appointment, you will be seen as soon as possible on the day of request. Please tell the receptionist if your request is urgent.
ACCESS TO DOCTORS/NURSES
In keeping with Government guidelines, we are working towards an appointment system that allows access to a doctor or nurse within 48 hours. If demand is particularly high, we may not be able to meet this. However, we guarantee to see anyone the same day if their medical condition necessitates this. Doctor/nurse appointments can be obtained between 8.30am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-6.00pm Monday to Friday. Appointments should be made for one person only. Should you be unable to attend or no longer require your appointment, please remember to cancel with as much notice as possible to enable us to make your appointment available to another patient.
Telephone contact can be made during these times by calling 0141-644-3511. Between 1.00 and 2pm, Monday to Friday, telephone contact should only be made in emergency medical circumstances by telephoning the surgery emergency line on 0141-644 1626.
If your medical condition requires urgent treatment, please telephone the surgery as early in the day as possible.
OUT OF HOURS EMERGENCIES
Surgery opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 6 pm. For emergency medical treatment outwith these times please telephone 08454-24-24-24 for NHS24. Advice and information can also be obtained from NHS24. The telephone number for NHS24 is available from the practice answering machine by telephoning the main practice number (0141-644-3511). Out of hours cover is now the responsibility of Greater Glasgow NHS Board.
HOME VISITS
Ideally, we prefer to treat patients in the surgery premises, where we have better resources and facilities available to us. However, if you do request a GP visit, please try to telephone before 10 am. Home visit requests are assessed by a GP. Visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness/disability, and are undertaken on medical grounds only.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
In order to avoid any inaccuracies, please request repeat prescriptions in writing, not by telephone. Requests can be handed in at reception, posted through the letter box or sent into the surgery. Please allow 48 hours for processing.

LEAFLETS
Leaflets and other written information about various illnesses and conditions are available on display at reception and from the nurses/doctors.
REGISTRATION
In order to register with the practice, you should bring your NHS medical card and ask about registering at reception. If you don't have a medical card you will be asked to fill in a registration form and a new patient medical information form, and you will be offered a new patient medical appointment with one of our nurses, if you wish one. If you prefer a particular type of doctor, eg female for a female patient, and vice versa, we will note this and do our best to respect your choice. However, not all the doctors in the practice provide all services, and specific doctors may not be immediately available.
